Semi-cured Smoked

Montesdeoca semi-smoked cheese is made with the best fresh goats milk from our own livestock. This cheese is characterized by exhibiting a good and firm texture that brings out the pleasant taste of goats milk. With a point of salt perfectly balanced with acidity, Montesdeoca semi-smoked goats cheese also offers a creamy touch and a long aftertaste. To these qualities is added the light smoke flavour that characterises it and which invites to have another piece. Montesdeoca’s semi-smoked goats cheese has received six international awards: three in the World Cheese Awards (2010, 2012 and 2016), one in the 2017 edition of the International Cheese Awards and another in the same year in the Global Cheese Awards. At Salón de Gourmets national gastronomic fair this cheese was proclaimed Spain’s third best smoked cheese in 2017.

Description: product made from pasteurised goats milk to which lactic ferments and rennet are added at an appropriate temperature for coagulation.

Ingredients: pasteurised goats milk, coagulant, calcium chloride, lactic ferment and salt.

R.S.G.E.A.A. 15.03330/TF.

Maturation: 60 days.

Shelf life: 12 months from packaging.

Semi-cured varieties: Natural, Smoked, Wine, Gofio, Fig, Rosemary, Oregano, Cinnamon and Paprika.


Colour: ivory yellow.

Smell: characteristic of semi-cured goats cheese at room temperature.

Taste: creamy, lactic, slightly acidulous and with soft tones of goats milk.

Consistency: compact paste when cut, creamy texture.

Rind: uniform bronze/gold coloured striping acquired during the smoking process.
